The New Child Care Management System

The Australian Government is investing $73.2 million to develop a national Child Care Management System (CCMS) to better support approved child care services and the communities they service. It is a process for transferring information between child care services and the government over the internet.

This system will be used to improve the accuracy and timeliness of information on child care supply and usage to better meet the needs of Australian families and the industry.  Converting to this system means all approved services will commence electronic on-line lodgment of CCB data to simplify the administration of CCB and streamline CCB payments to services.

As part of these changes it will also be possible for families to access certain information online pertaining to child care records and the government’s financial CCB contribution to families therefore improving efficiency and accountability for all involved.
